Musnad Ahmad 1153:1671

Waki’ narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray while sitting after he had advanced in age. Until, when there remained thirty or forty verses of the surah, he would stand and recite them, then he would bow.
