Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Isma’il ibn Umayyah, from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Urwah, from ‘Urwah, from ‘Aishah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married me in Shawwal, and he consummated the marriage with me in Shawwal. So which of the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was more favored by him than I?" And ‘Aishah used to like for her women to be brought into their homes in Shawwal.
