Waki’ narrated to us, from al-Mas’udi, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, from ‘Aishah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "The snake is a transgressor (fasiqah), the scorpion is a transgressor, the crow is a transgressor, and the mouse is a transgressor."
