Musnad Ahmad 1153:1774

Waki’ and ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan—the meaning [of the narration]—from al-Miqdam, from his father, from ‘A’ishah, who said: "I would be menstruating, and I would take the bone [with meat on it] and gnaw on it while I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet, and he would place his mouth on the place where my mouth had been. And I would drink while I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he would place his mouth on the place where my mouth had been."
