'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, delayed the night prayer (Isha) one night. 'Umar said: "O Messenger of Allah, the women and children have fallen asleep." So the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, went out and said: "There is no one among the people waiting for this prayer except you." He said: And that was before Islam had spread among the people.
