Isma'il and Yazid—the meaning is the same—said: Al-Jariri informed us, from Abdullah ibn Shaqiq, who said: I said to Aisha: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, combine the surahs?" She said: "The Mufassal." I said: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, pray while sitting?" She said: "Yes, after the people had broken him." I said: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, pray the Duha prayer?" She said: "No, unless he came from his absence." I said: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, fast a month other than Ramadan?" She said: "No, by Allah, he did not fast a complete month other than Ramadan, nor did he leave it entirely without fasting something from it." I said: "Which of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was most beloved to him?" She said: "Abu Bakr." I said: "Then who?" She said: "Then Umar." I said: "Then who?" She said: "Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah." Yazid said: "I said: 'Then who?' He said: 'So she remained silent.'"
