Hajjaj and Ibn Numayr narrated to us, they said: Sharik narrated to us, from al-Miqdam ibn Shurayh—Ibn Numayr al-Harithi said: from his father—he said: I asked Aisha: "Did the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, go out to the desert?" She said: "Yes, to these hills." She said: "He went out one time, and he sent to me some of the camels of charity, and he gave me a camel that was *muharrama*—Hajjaj said: 'It had not been ridden'—and he said: 'O Aisha, you must have fear of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, and gentleness; for indeed, gentleness is not in anything but it adorns it, and it is not removed from anything but it disgraces it.'"
