Hadith 1153:187
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Urwah narrated to us, from his father, from 'Aishah, who said: Hamzah al-Aslami came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who fasts continuously; should I fast while traveling?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "If you wish, then fast, and if you wish, then do not fast."
