'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, that Rifa'ah al-Qurazi divorced his wife and finalized her divorce. Then 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr married her after him. She came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Prophet of God, she was with Rifa'ah and he divorced her the last of three divorces, so I married 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr after him. And by God, O Messenger of God, he has nothing with him except like this fringe." The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, smiled, then said to her: "Perhaps you want to return to Rifa'ah? No, not until you taste his honey and he tastes your honey." She said: Abu Bakr was sitting with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Khalid ibn Sa'id was sitting at the door of the chamber, not having been given permission to enter. Khalid began calling out to Abu Bakr, saying: "O Abu Bakr, will you not rebuke this woman for what she is speaking aloud in the presence of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace?"
