Musnad Ahmad 1153:1890

Muhammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Ya’qub ibn ‘Utbah, from al-Zuhri, from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn ‘Abd Allah, from ‘A’ishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned to me one day from a funeral at al-Baqi’, while I was experiencing a headache in my head, and I was saying: "Oh, my head!" He said: "Rather, I am the one who says: 'Oh, my head!'" Then he said: "What would it harm you if you died before me, so I would wash you, shroud you, then pray over you, and bury you?" I said: "But I—or as if I see you—by Allah, if you did that, you would return to my house and spend the night in it with some of your wives." She said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled, and then he began the illness in which he died.
