Musnad Ahmad 1153:1909

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, al-A‘mash and Ya‘la narrated to us, al-A‘mash narrated to us, from Tamim ibn Salamah, from ‘Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from ‘A’ishah, she said: "I used to wash the head of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while he was in I‘tikaf (seclusion in the mosque), and I was menstruating."
