Yunus narrated to us, he said: 'Imran ibn Yazid al-'Attar narrated to us, from Bahz ibn Hakim, from Zurarah ibn Awfa, from Sa'd ibn Hisham, who said: I said to the Mother of the Believers, 'Aishah: "How was the prayer of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, at night?" She said: "He would pray the 'Isha'—then she mentioned the hadith—and he would pray two rak'ahs while standing, raising his voice, as if he were waking us up; rather, he would wake us up. Then he would supplicate with a supplication that he would make us hear, then he would perform one taslim, with which he would raise his voice."
