Musnad Ahmad 1153:1972

Yazid narrated to us, he said: Zakariya informed us, from Abu Ishaq, he said: Abu Abdullah al-Jadali narrated to me, he said: I said to Aisha: "How was the character of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, among his family?" She said: "He was the best of people in character. He was neither obscene, nor one who sought obscenity, nor a clamorer in the marketplaces. He would not recompense evil with the like of it, but he would pardon and forgive."
