Musnad Ahmad 1153:1981

Yazid narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Makhlad ibn Khuffaf, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, decreed that the yield (kharaj) is in return for the liability (daman).
