Rawh narrated to us, he said: Salih ibn Abi al-Akhdar narrated to us, he said: Ibn Shihab informed us that ‘Urwah informed him that ‘Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered into the state of Ihram for Hajj and ‘Umrah during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and he drove the sacrificial animals (Hady) with him. Some people entered into the state of Ihram for ‘Umrah along with him and drove the sacrificial animals, and some people entered into the state of Ihram for ‘Umrah and did not drive any sacrificial animals. ‘Aishah said: So I was among those who entered into the state of Ihram for ‘Umrah and did not drive any sacrificial animals. When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, arrived, he said: "Whoever among you entered into the state of Ihram for ‘Umrah and drove the sacrificial animals with him, let him perform Tawaf of the House and [Sa’i] between Safa and Marwah, and let him not exit any state of prohibition he entered into until he completes his Hajj and slaughters his sacrificial animal on the Day of Sacrifice. And whoever among you entered into the state of Ihram for ‘Umrah and did not drive any sacrificial animals with him, let him perform Tawaf of the House and [Sa’i] between Safa and Marwah, then let him exit the state of Ihram (Tahalul), then let him enter into the state of Ihram for Hajj and offer a sacrifice. Whoever does not find [the means for a sacrifice], then [he must observe] fasting for three days during the Hajj and seven when he returns to his family." ‘Aishah said: So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prioritized the Hajj, which he feared he might miss, and delayed the ‘Umrah.
