Isma'il narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Hamzah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, from 'Abbad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Aishah, she said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying in some of his prayers: "O Allah, judge me with an easy judgment." When he finished, I said: "O Prophet of Allah, what is the easy judgment?" He said: "That He looks into his record and then overlooks it. Indeed, whoever is scrutinized in the judgment on that day, O 'Aishah, is ruined. And everything that afflicts the believer, Allah the Almighty expiates [sins] for him by it, even the thorn that pricks him."
