Isma'il narrated to us, Dawud ibn Abi Hind narrated to us, from 'Uzrah, from Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sa'd ibn Hisham, from 'A'ishah, who said: We had a curtain in which there was an image of a bird, and whenever someone entered, it would face him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "O 'A'ishah, move this, for whenever I enter and see it, I am reminded of the world." And we had a velvet cloth, and we used to say that its markings were of silk, and we used to wear it.
