Musnad Ahmad 1153:210

Yahya narrated to us, from Ubaydullah, and Muhammad ibn Ubayd, Ubaydullah narrated to us, he said: Nafi informed me, from Sa’ibah, from Aisha: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade the killing of snakes. Muhammad ibn Ubayd said: Those that are in the houses. And he commanded us to kill the *abtar* (short-tailed snake) and the *dhu al-tufyatayn* (the one with two white lines on its back). He said: "Indeed, they both snatch away the eyesight and cause what is in the wombs of women to miscarry, and whoever leaves them is not of me."
