Hadith 1153:2174
Hammad and Abu al-Mundhir narrated to us, they said: 'Abd al-Wahid, the freed slave of 'Urwah, narrated to us, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah the Almighty and Majestic said: 'Whoever humiliates a guardian (wali) of Mine, he has declared war against Me. My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the performance of what I have made obligatory upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory acts until I love him. If he asks Me, I will give him; and if he calls upon Me, I will answer him. I have not hesitated about anything I do as I hesitate about his death, for he dislikes death, and I dislike to cause him distress.'" And Abu al-Mundhir said: 'Urwah narrated to me, he said: 'Aishah narrated to me. And Abu al-Mundhir said: "He harmed a guardian of Mine."
