Musnad Ahmad 1153:220

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, fever is from the scorching heat of Hell, so cool it with water."
