Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, he said: Ja'far ibn Burqan narrated to us, he said: Al-Zuhri narrated to us, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, she said: I and Hafsah were fasting, and food was presented to us that we desired, so we ate from it. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came, and Hafsah hastened to him—and she was the daughter of her father—she said: "O Messenger of Allah, we were fasting today, and food was presented to us that we desired, so we ate from it." He said: "Make up another day."
