Musnad Ahmad 1153:227

Yahya narrated to us, from Hisham, who said: My father narrated to me, from Aisha, "That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray at night, while I was lying across between him and the Qiblah on the bed. When he intended to perform the Witr, he would wake me up."
