Musnad Ahmad 1153:2279

Ubaydah narrated to us, he said: Mansur narrated to me, from Mujahid, from Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, he said: Abu Hurayrah said: "Whoever wakes up in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity), there is no fast for him." So Marwan sent Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman to Aisha to ask her. He said to her: "Indeed, Abu Hurayrah says: 'Whoever wakes up in a state of janabah, there is no fast for him.'" Aisha said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to be in a state of janabah, then he would complete his fast." So he sent word to Abu Hurayrah and informed him that Aisha said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to be in a state of janabah, then he would complete his fast." So Abu Hurayrah refrained.
