Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: Ibn Akhi Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from his uncle, who said: 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr informed me that 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, informed him that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, delayed the night prayer (Isha) one night, and it is the one that people call the 'Atamah prayer. She said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not come out until 'Umar said: "The prayer, for the women and children have fallen asleep." So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out and said to the people of the mosque when he came out to them: "No one among the people of the earth is waiting for it except you." And that was before Islam had spread among the people.
