Hadith 1153:2326
Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim narrated to me, from his father al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, went out for Hajj when five nights of Dhu al-Qi'dah remained, and the people did not mention anything but Hajj. When he was at Sarif, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had driven the sacrificial animals (hady) with him, as had the noble people, he ordered the people to exit ihram by performing Umrah, except for those who had driven the sacrificial animals. I menstruated that day, so he entered upon me while I was crying. He said: "What is the matter with you, Aisha? Perhaps you have menstruated?" I said: "Yes, by Allah, I wish I had not gone out with you this year on this journey." He said: "Do not do that, do not say that, for you will perform everything that the pilgrim performs, except that you do not circumambulate the House." She said: So I proceeded with my Hajj. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered Makkah, and everyone who did not have sacrificial animals with him exited ihram, and his wives exited ihram by performing Umrah. When it was the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), a large amount of beef was brought to me and placed in my house. I said: "What is this?" They said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, slaughtered cows on behalf of his wives." When it was the night of al-Hasbah, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent me with my brother Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr, and he had me perform Umrah from al-Tan'im, in place of the Umrah that I had missed. Ya'qub narrated to us in another place regarding Hajj: "And the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered his wives, so they exited ihram by performing Umrah, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered the people that whoever did not have sacrificial animals with him should exit ihram, and he ordered those who had sacrificial animals with them from the noble people to remain in their state of sanctity (ihram)."
