Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, he said: And Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, from 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, she said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, led the people in the prayer of fear at Dhat al-Riqa', from Nakhl. She said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, split the people into two groups. One group stood in rows behind him, and one group stood facing the enemy. She said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said the takbir, and the group that stood in rows behind him said the takbir. Then he bowed and they bowed, then he prostrated and they prostrated. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, raised his head, and they raised theirs with him. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remained sitting, and they performed the second prostration for themselves. Then they stood up and retreated on their heels, walking backward until they stood behind them. She said: The other group came forward and stood in rows behind the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. They said the takbir, then they bowed for themselves. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, performed his second prostration, and they prostrated with him. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up in his rak'ah, and they performed the second prostration for themselves. Then both groups stood up together and stood in rows behind the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, bowed with them, and they all bowed. Then he prostrated, and they all prostrated. Then he raised his head and they raised theirs with him. All of that from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was very quick; he did not fail to lighten it as much as he could. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said the taslim, and they said the taslim. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up, and the people had participated with him in the entire prayer.
