Musnad Ahmad 1153:2340

Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, that 'Abbad ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to him, that 'Aishah narrated to him, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was sitting in the shade of a tall, dense, beautiful tree when a man came to him and said: "I am burnt, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "What is your matter?" He said: "I had intercourse with my wife while I was fasting." She (Aishah) said: "And that was in Ramadan." So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to him: "Sit." So he sat in a corner of the people. Then a man came with a donkey carrying a sack containing dates. He said: "This is my charity, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Where is the one who was burnt just now?" He said: "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Take this and give it as charity." He said: "And where is there charity, O Messenger of Allah, except for me and my family? By the One who sent you with the truth, neither I nor my family find anything." He said: "Then take it," and he took it.
