Musnad Ahmad 1153:285

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from Aisha, who said: "Sa'd was struck on the day of the Trench. A man from Quraysh, who was called Hibban ibn al-Arqah, shot him in the median vein (al-akhal). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, pitched a tent for him in the mosque so that he could visit him from nearby."
