Musnad Ahmad 1153:351

Yunus narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Yazid—meaning Ibn Abi Habib—from Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq ibn Yasar, from Abdullah ibn Urwah, from Urwah, from Aisha, who said: When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, arrived in Medina, his companions fell ill, and Abu Bakr, Amir ibn Fuhayrah (the freed slave of Abu Bakr), and Bilal fell ill. Aisha sought permission from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to visit them, and he gave her permission. She said to Abu Bakr: "How do you find yourself?" He said: "Every man is greeted by morning among his family, While death is closer than the strap of his sandal." She asked Amir, and he said: "I have found death before tasting it; Indeed, the coward’s doom is above him." She asked Bilal, and he said: "Oh, I wish I knew if I would spend a night, In a valley with *idhkhir* and *jalil* grass around me." She went to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and informed him of what they had said. He looked toward the sky and said: "O Allah, make Medina beloved to us as You made Mecca beloved to us, or even more. O Allah, bless us in its *sa’* and its *mudd*, and transfer its fever to Mahya’ah," which is al-Juhfah, as they claimed.
