Musnad of the truthful one, Aisha bint al-Siddiq (RA)
Hadith 1153:378
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, he said: Sharik informed us, from Simak, from Abdullah ibn Umayrah, from Durrah bint Abi Lahab, she said: I was with Aisha, and the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered and said: "Bring me water for ablution." She said: So I and Aisha rushed toward the pitcher. She said: I beat her to it, and I took it. He performed ablution, then he raised his gaze, or his eye, or his sight toward me and said: "You are from me, and I am from you." She said: Then a man was brought, and he said: "I did not do it, but it was said to me." She said: And he had asked him on the pulpit: "Who is the best of people?" He replied: "The most learned of them in the religion of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, and the most dutiful of them to his kinship." And Sharik mentioned two other things in it, which I did not memorize.
