Musnad Ahmad 1153:407

Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Mutarrif narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, that he heard Aisha saying: "A crescent would pass by us, and another crescent, and no fire would be kindled in any of the houses of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." He said: I said, "O aunt, then upon what did you live?" She said: "Upon the two black ones: dates and water."
