Hadith 1153:409
Husayn narrated to us, Yazid—meaning Ibn ‘Ata’—narrated to us, from Habib—meaning Ibn Abi ‘Amrah—from ‘Aishah bint Talhah, from ‘Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, who said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall we not go out and perform Jihad with you?" He said: "No. Your Jihad is the accepted Hajj; it is the Jihad for you."
حدثنا حسين، حدثنا يزيد يعني ابن عطاء، عن حبيب يعني ابن أبي عمرة، عن عائشة بنت طلحة، عن عائشة أم المؤمنين قالت : يا رسول الله، ألا نخرج نجاهد معكم، قال: " لا، جهادكن الحج المبرور، هو لكن جهاد "
