Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, he said: Umar ibn Suwayd narrated to us, he said: I heard Aisha bint Talhah mentioning—and the state of the *muhrim* (pilgrim in the state of ihram) applying perfume was mentioned in her presence—so she mentioned from Aisha, the Mother of the Believers: "That they used to go out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wearing *al-dimad* (a type of ointment or perfume), having applied it before they entered into the state of *ihram*. Then they would bathe while it was upon them, and they would sweat, and they would bathe, and he did not forbid them from it."
