Musnad Ahmad 1153:507

Hashim narrated to us, he said: Ishaq bin Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Sa'id narrated to us, from 'Aishah, that a Jewish woman used to serve her. 'Aishah would not do any favor for her, except that the Jewish woman would say to her: "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave." She said: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon me, and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there a punishment in the grave before the Day of Resurrection?" He said: "No, and why is that?" She said: "This Jewish woman, I do not do any favor for her, except that she says: 'May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave.'" He said: "The Jews have lied, and they are greater liars against Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. There is no punishment before the Day of Resurrection." She said: Then he remained after that for as long as Allah willed him to remain. Then one day, at midday, he went out wrapped in his garment, his eyes red, and he was calling out at the top of his voice: "O people, the tribulations have overshadowed you like pieces of the dark night. O people, if you knew what I know, you would weep much and laugh little. O people, seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave, for the punishment of the grave is true."
