Hashim narrated to us, he said: Al-Layth narrated to us, he said: Ibn Shihab narrated to me, from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman and Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Safiyyah bint Huyayy menstruated after she had performed the Ifadah (the circumambulation of the Kaaba). Aisha said: So I mentioned her menstruation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Is she going to detain us?" She said: I said: "O Messenger of God, she has already performed the Ifadah and circumambulated the House, then she menstruated after the Ifadah." The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Then let her depart."
