Musnad Ahmad 1153:545

Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, he said: Al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah, from Aisha, she said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had completed the *ifadah* (the circumambulation of the Kaaba), he desired from Safiyyah some of what a man desires from his wife. It was said to him: "She is menstruating." He said: "A barren one! Is she going to detain us?" They said: "She has already performed the *tawaf* (circumambulation) on the Day of Sacrifice." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed with her. Ibn Mus'ab said: I did not hear him—meaning Al-Awza'i—mention Muhammad ibn Ibrahim except once.
