Hadith 1153:547
'Ali ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Mutarrif Abu Ghassan narrated to us, he said: Abu Hazim narrated to us, from Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'Aishah, she said: The Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded me to give as charity some gold that we had during his illness. She said: Then he recovered, and he said: "What did you do?" She said: "What I saw of your condition occupied me." He said: "Bring it here." She said: So she brought it to him—seven or nine, Abu Hazim is in doubt—dinars. When she brought them to him, he said: "What would Muhammad think if he were to meet Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, while this is with him? And what would remain of Muhammad if he were to meet Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, while this is with him?"
