Hadith 1153:548
'Ali ibn 'Ayyash and Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, they said: Muhammad ibn Mutarrif narrated to us, he said: Abu Hazim narrated to us, Husayn said: From 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Aishah, she said: "A crescent moon, and a crescent moon, and a crescent moon would pass by the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while no fire was kindled in any of his houses." I said: "O aunt, upon what did you live?" She said: "Upon the two black things: dates and water." Husayn said that he heard 'Aishah saying: "A crescent moon and a crescent moon would pass by us, while no fire was kindled in any of the houses of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." So I said: "O aunt..." [and he mentioned] the like of it.
حدثنا علي بن عياش، وحسين بن محمد، قالا: حدثنا محمد بن مطرف، قال: حدثنا أبو حازم، قال حسين: عن عروة بن الزبير، عن عائشة، قالت: " كان يمر برسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هلال وهلال وهلال ما يوقد في بيت من بيوته نار "، قلت: يا خالة، على أي شيء كنتم تعيشون؟ قالت: " على الأسودين: التمر، والماء "، قال حسين، إنه سمع عائشة، تقول: " إنه كان يمر بنا هلال وهلال، ما يوقد في بيت من بيوت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نار "، فقلت: يا خالة مثله
