Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, he said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn ‘Imran—meaning al-Quray‘i—from ‘Abd Allah ibn Shammas, that he heard ‘Aishah narrating, saying: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade us from the *hantam*—which is the green jar—and the *duba’* (gourd), and the *naqir* (hollowed-out log), and from the *muzaffat* (pitch-coated vessel)."
