Musnad Ahmad 1153:665

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, that Abu Bakr entered upon her while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was with her on the day of Fitr or Adha, and there were two young girls with her beating a tambourine. Abu Bakr rebuked them, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Leave them, O Abu Bakr, for every people have an Eid, and this day is our Eid."
