Musnad Ahmad 1153:67

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Malik, from Abu al-Aswad, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Among us were those who entered into the state of Ihram for Hajj, among us were those who entered into the state of Ihram for 'Umrah, and among us were those who entered into the state of Ihram for both Hajj and 'Umrah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered into the state of Ihram for Hajj. As for those who entered into the state of Ihram for 'Umrah, they exited the state of Ihram when they performed Tawaf around the House and [walked] between al-Safa and al-Marwah. As for those who entered into the state of Ihram for Hajj, or for both Hajj and 'Umrah, they did not exit the state of Ihram until the Day of Sacrifice.
