Musnad Ahmad 1153:704

Abu Sa’id narrated to us, Abu ‘Awanah narrated to us, from ‘Umar, from his father, from ‘A’ishah, who said: When the [verse of] choice was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "I wish to mention a matter to you, but do not decide anything regarding it until you consult your parents." I said: "What is it?" He said: So he recited the verse of choice. I said: "Rather, I choose Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was pleased with that.
