Surayj and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn ‘Urwah, from his father, from ‘Aishah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, a man may perform the deeds of the people of Paradise, while it is written in the Book that he is among the people of the Fire. Then, when it is shortly before his death, he changes and performs the deeds of the people of the Fire, so he dies and enters the Fire. And indeed, a man may perform the deeds of the people of the Fire, while it is written in the Book that he is among the people of Paradise. Then, when it is shortly before his death, he changes and performs the deeds of the people of Paradise, so he dies and enters it."
