Musnad Ahmad 1153:763

Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, from Nafi’, from Sa’ibah, the freed slave woman of Al-Fakih ibn Al-Mughirah, that she entered upon Aisha and saw a spear placed in her house. She said: "O Mother of the Believers, what do you do with this spear?" She said: "We kill the geckos with it, for the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, informed us that when Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was thrown into the fire, there was no creature that did not extinguish the fire for him, except for the gecko, for it used to blow upon it. So he, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded that it be killed."
