Musnad Ahmad 1153:81

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Aisha: A group of Jews asked for permission to enter upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they said: "As-sam (death) be upon you." Aisha said: "Rather, as-sam (death) be upon you, and the curse." He said: "O Aisha, indeed Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, loves gentleness in all matters." She said: "Did you not hear what they said?" He said: "I have already said: 'And upon you.'"
