Musnad of the truthful one, Aisha bint al-Siddiq (RA)
Hadith 1153:813
Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas narrated to us, he said: Abu Uways narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, that Urwah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to him, that Aisha narrated to him, she said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was never given a choice between two matters but that he chose the easier of the two, as long as it was not a sin. If it were a sin, he would be the furthest of people from it. And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, never took revenge for himself for anything that was violated against him, unless a sanctity that belongs to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, was violated, in which case he would take revenge for the sake of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, for it."
