Musnad of the truthful one, Aisha bint al-Siddiq (RA)

Hadith 1153:820
Muhammad ibn Kunasa al-Asadi Abu Yahya narrated to us, he said: Ishaq ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from his father, he said: It reached me that Aisha said: "I did not eavesdrop on the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, except once. For Uthman came to him at the peak of midday, and I thought that he had come to him regarding a matter of women, so jealousy compelled me to listen to him. I heard him saying: 'Indeed, Allah the Almighty will clothe you in a shirt, and my nation will want you to take it off, so do not take it off.' When I saw Uthman giving them what they asked of him, except for taking it off, I knew that it was from the covenant of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, which he had covenanted to him."
حدثنا محمد بن كناسة الأسدي أبو يحيى، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن سعيد، عن أبيه، قال: بلغني أن عائشة، قالت: ما استسمعت على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا مرة، فإن عثمان جاءه في نحر الظهيرة، فظننت أنه جاءه في أمر النساء، فحملتني الغيرة على أن أصغيت إليه، فسمعته يقول: " إن الله عز وجل ملبسك قميصا تريدك أمتي على خلعه، فلا تخلعه "، فلما رأيت عثمان يبذل لهم ما سألوه إلا خلعه، علمت أنه من عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الذي عهد إليه
