Musnad of the truthful one, Aisha bint al-Siddiq (RA)

Hadith 1153:846

Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Abdullah informed us, he said: Yunus and Ma’mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, he said: Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me, that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, informed him, that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq entered upon her, while the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was covered with a Hibra mantle. He uncovered his face, then leaned over him, kissed him, and wept. Then he said: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you. By Allah, Allah the Almighty will never combine two deaths upon you. As for the death which has been written upon you, you have already died it."

حدثنا علي بن إسحاق، قال: أخبرنا عبد الله، قال: أخبرنا يونس، ومعمر، عن الزهري، قال: أخبرني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، أن عائشة، زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، أخبرته، أن أبا بكر الصديق دخل عليها، فتيمم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو مسجى ببرد حبرة، فكشف عن وجهه، ثم أكب عليه، فقبله وبكى، ثم قال: " بأبي أنت وأمي، والله لا يجمع الله عز وجل عليك موتتين أبدا، أما الموتة التي قد كتبت عليك، فقد متها "
