Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, he said: Mujalid informed us, from al-Sha’bi, from Masruq, from Aisha, she said: When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would mention Khadija, he would praise her and perfect the praise. She said: So I became jealous one day and said: "How much you mention her, the red-gummed one, while Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has replaced her for you with someone better than her." He said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not replaced her for me with someone better than her. She believed in me when the people disbelieved in me, and she trusted me when the people called me a liar, and she supported me with her wealth when the people deprived me, and Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, provided me with children through her when He deprived me of children through other women."
