Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahman informed us, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Aisha, that she said: Abu Bakr said to her: "O my daughter, on which day did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, pass away?" I said: "On Monday." He said: "In how many [garments] did you shroud the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him?" I said: "O my father, we shrouded him in three white, new, Yemeni Sahuliya garments; there was no shirt in them, nor a turban, but he was wrapped in them completely."
